Lighten Up Lamp

Sadly, I didn't take any pictures doing the process.  So today it's just about some good ol' before and after pictures.
I got this little guy at Goodwill for a whole $3.00.

I looked around the apartment for supplies I had here.  This is what I came up with.
Supplies:
Spray paint
Yarn
Glue
Fabric

I spray painted blue.
Twist and glued yarn around it.
Made flowers and leaves from fabric.
Then glued them on.

This would be my new $3.00 lamp.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Is it safe? I would worry about the lamp heating up the yarn too much.

Kim @ The Sasse Life said...[Reply to comment]

Good question, Kristi. We haven't had a problem with the yarn heating up. It's also only a lamp we use when are at the desk and someone is present, not a lamp we keep on all the time. I wouldn't trust to keep it on for a long period of time. Also, if that is a concern, you can always use non-flammable yarn :)

Lol, all that matters is the before and after pictures, nobody needs to see the rest. I saw this lamp and literally bopped myself on the head. I have lots of craft stuff in my house...........but no creativity to go with it. Where do you think of this stuff? Very cute.
