Snowman Ornament

I know some of you know Jessica Jane and her work.  If you aren't familiar with her ornaments, you need to get on it.  I already have a little mini collection :)

Well, the first time I ever made a Snowman Ornament was with her.  She was the one who inspired me with all her craftiness. (So thanks, Jessi)

Here is a little tutorial on how to make this.

Make three balls out of polymer clay (simple enough, right?)

 I made him a top hat, then I used a jewelry eyepin and pushed it through the hat and balls.

 I made a rectangle out of clay and stamped my son's name in it.

I cut three pieces of wire and twirled them together for an arm. Then repeated for his second arm.

I made him a nose and other things out of clay.  I baked him at 275 for about 10 minutes. Removed him and let him cool.  Then painted and bedazzled him up.

Peace Sign

I haven't been posting any projects recently since we have been moving.  We are almost done! Thank goodness.  At least, we found our Christmas things.  So the first thing my husband set out was his Nutcracker collection.

Just a little creepy..

I decided that it was time to take a break from moving and focus on one of my favorite holidays, Christmas.

My husband and I headed over to the Christmas Tree Shop which if you haven't been, you need to go.  Just like my husband needed another nutcracker.

Here's what I got (wine not included)  

Which if you remember is from when I made glitter wine glasses.. I had some questions about how they wash.  I have hand washed them a couple of times now and they seem to do fine.  I do think over time I will need to apply more glitter.  Hopefully that is helpful.

Now back to the supplies:

Glitter Wine Glasses

When I saw this on Something Turquoise, I had to make these as soon as possible.  Instead of using the Martha Stewart Glitter Paint, I used Mod Podge and Martha Stewart glitter.

Excuse the terrible pictures, I used my iPhone. I'm ordering a new camera this weekend.

After applying the glitter, I let it dry alittle.  I then added some Mod Podge to seal the glitter.  Are these not perfect for the holidays coming up?!

I have had some emails about how they wash, so I thought I would do an update. I have used them quite often and they seem to hold up fine.  I only hand wash them.  I thought I would update you with some pictures.
