Thanks for hosting another great party.
Thanks so much for hosting Kim!
I hope you know it is highly illegal to e-mail out SPAM to promote your business. You may want to just send e-mails out to people who are actually following you....not just people who may have linked up one time.
Thanks for hosting...have a lovely day!
Haha...dear anonymous, it is NOT illegal to email out messages about a link party that makes the blogger NO MONEY to people who FREELY GAVE their email to enter said link party! Get you facts straight and if you want to be ugly go do it somewhere else. I'm sick of people like you who want to promote themselves by entering the parties that we so graciously put on for you and then complain when they get a reminder email. DONT give out your email if you don't want to be emailed, end of story.
Thank you for hosting and also reminding me with an email. :) Have a great day!
Ditto to Audra's comment!
Thanks for the reminder emails, Kim!

Thanks for hosting every Wednesday! FYI...anonymous usually means cowardly in the blog world. I have only gotten 2 anonymous comments, and they were basically telling me I must have too much time on my hands since I have time to make crafts and organize my house. Keep up the great work, and thanks for giving us a place to link up and share our ideas!

Hi Kim!! I'm linking up, thanks for hosting! =)
I ♥ your email reminders!! There are so many that are going on, sometimes I need reminders.
Round of applause to Audra and Jessica!
Anonymous, I'm sure Kim would have taken you off the list! They should have just emailed Kim privately, instead of calling her out. Rude!
You might want to read this article and follow the guidelines.
http://www.paulbilton.com/top-quality-affordable-website-design/mass-mailing-not-spam.html
Is this your situation?
You feel you have a product or service so good that you are actually doing people a favour telling them about it. So you want to send out emails to customers and potential customers telling them all about it.
No matter how wonderful you think the information is, unless you follow some rules what you send will be SPAM. Sending spam can easily result in your website being closed down along with your email address(es) - and in extreme cases heavy fines and even imprisonment.
The rules to follow are:
- your subscribers must have asked to be on your list by the 'opt in' method. NOT 'opt out' where recipients are considered to be on your list unless the say no.
This means that simply having someone supply their email address is not enough, the address might not be submitted by the rightful owner. You must verify email addresses and receive permission to use the address in your mailing. All good email list systems will do this for you automatically.
- you must provide with every mailing a clear, obvious and simply way to un-subscribe (or 'opt-out') from your list.
- you must make it completely clear who is sending the mass emailing and provide a reply email address as well as a physical address.
- you must make it completely clear why the recipient is getting your email (You are receiving this email because you subscribed to...)
- you must make it completely clear that what you are sending is an advertisement or promotional material.
Ditto to Audra's comment! Thanks for hosting a great party and I myself love getting the reminders..Anonymous just ask to be removed was all it takes..
Thanks so much for hosting and for the reminder email. And OMG...Anonymous needs to just let it go and send a reply to opt out. Why don't you disable anonymous comments.
Holly
I love to participate on link parties! I think it is awesome that bloggers like you allow other people to advertise their craft projects on your blog for free :) What "anonymous" said might make sense in some points, but everyone should know that whenever they submit their email address they take the risk of receiving spams if there isn't a disclaimer policy available. You may want to disclose on your link party post that if people link up to your party they will receive future reminders on their email inbox. And to be honest, I have received emails from you and they were not only reminders about your link party but also invitations to vote for you on some kind of blog award community.
Just think about it... I don't want to offend you, but just let people know ahead of time what you are going to do when you get hold of their email addresses.
-Hannah :)
Anonymous my dear I think you are missing the point...she isn't selling a product and she isn't making money by hosting a link party where you so willingly gave out your email in order to PROMOTE YOURSELF! If you stumble upon a link party on a blog, which you are obviously not following and shame on you for not following her link party rules, and you have to give an email to join dont ya think she might use it if she's making it a requirement to join?? Use some common sense if you don't want to be emailed don't give out your email! You wouldn't give Joe blow on the street your email if you didn't want him emailing you so don't give it out in the blogging world either!
Hear Hear Audra. Thanks for hosting Kim!
I am so sorry about your rude anonymous comment. I appreciate you hosting. I am a new blogger and just recently eliminated the anonymous option. My (unsolicited :) advice to you is to do the same. DON'T bring that kind of negativity into your day. Also, I'm not aware of any professional blogger who allows anonymous comments and you will eliminate nearly all of your spam comments by taking out this option. :) Its a win, win, win! Have a good day and keep doing what you are doing.
I wish I had time to troll around to blogs I didn't really want to participate with and be accusational about it...anonymously, no less. Sheesh! I have a hard time keeping up with sites (like yours) that I care about. Thanks for providing a place for me to see such valentiney fun---I see how I will next be procrastinating housework!!!
I think anonymous should get a life. They should of sent you this message privately and asked to be removed. I enjoy reminders for any link parties I join in on. But I agree with Hannah, I only want emails reminders for the link party not for voting or any other reason, just for the link party that I provided my email address for.
@Anonymous If you want to talk about guidelines, here is a guideline for you.
"All articles published on this website are strictly copyrighted. They may be reproduced for private or educational purposes by asking permission. For commercial use, please get in contact for terms."
Posted on Paul Bilton's website (the guy you quoted). You did ask for his permission before quoting him, didn't you? Otherwise YOU are the one breaking the guidelines.
that first feature is so cool I might just have to do that! thanks for hosting
Thank you for hosting! Have a wonderful, blessed week :)
Thanks again for hosting and for the reminder email! It really helps me out each week :)
As for anonymous's mention of the opt in policy, you opt in when you provide your email during the link up section. While I 100% agree with Audra that the email doesn't classify as spam for so many other reasons, if anonymous really wants to "discuss" the opt-in policy, he/she should realize that they did opt in when they linked up. Kim did not buy a random list of emails and start sending out solicitations or anything. She uses a list provided to her by the link group of people who have linked up in the past. Providing your email during your link up = opting in. And you know what, anonymous, opting out is simple but you are preventing Kim from helping you out in that regard by posting anonymously! So, instead of pulling random websites that really don't support your claim all that much, how about you just send a little ole email to Kim and ask her to remove you? Simple!
Thanks for the feature!! My guest blogger, Hayley, did a wonderful job on those cupakes!!!
Super awesome link! I can't wait to look at more crafts!
I'm coming by from Blog Hop 'til You Drop and following via GFC and email.
