Guest Spotlight: Mind Full Mommy

My last but not least blogger is Mar from Mind Full Mommy.  Mar is one of my good friends from high school.

We should be models for Five Guys burgers which if you don't know about their burgers.  Educate yourself, my friend.
Now we are constantly comparing notes as mamas.
Fun fact: We got married the exact same day -- 10/11/08
Let's just say I never forget her wedding anniversary.
Here's Mar! Enjoy!

Ever since becoming a stay at home mommy, my life has become hectic, fun, and exhausting. It also has put a damper on my spending habits. So I have begun refinishing things, and being a huge penny pincher. Thank goodness I stumbled upon pinterest! It helps keep my creative juice flowing. This weekend I did a really simple redo of our patio table. My husband’s grandparents gave it to us, and it’s nice.. just drab.

Luckily, Kim and I have been talking about how we love bright colors recently. So I decided instead of painting it stone to paint it something bright and cheerful. Sunflowers are my favorite flower, so it only made sense to use that as my inspiration.

After the top of the table was painted.

After the whole table was painted. So much happier, right? I’m in love with this color. As bright and cheerful as it is, I feel like it still needs something else. So I bought this stencil, and this shade of blue paint to use.

Please ignore my baby’s hands. :) Unfortunately I haven’t gotten the chance to put the stencil on the top of the table yet. It’s been too blustery to not have paint blown everywhere. I’ll be posting the official before and after on my blog later on, once we’ve moved into our new home in a few weeks, get settled, and get the back yard in order. So keep an eye out for it!

Thanks Kendra! It's amazing how a simply color change can give things a facelift.
