Sponsor Spolight & Giveaway: Toby And Max

Have you ever heard of Toby and Max?
If you haven't, you are in for a real treat.

From their site:
Sandy Comstock, owner & designer of Toby and Max Jewelry, is inspired by words and phrases that bring people comfort, humor, and a belief in themselves.  The Uniqueness of her designs has brought about a large following of devoted collectors.

Sandy says "By making designs that work so well as gifts, I can help others share their feelings with their friends, and that is important to me. 'Remember I am Always here for You' and 'A True Friend Should be Held with Both Hands' is a reminder from one friend to another. And isn’t that what it all should be about? Making others feel good about themselves. That’s what inspires me"

Seriously, the jewelry is perfect for anyone.
Earrings, pendants & bracelets!  Oh my!
Even for your four legged friends.

Seriously, I had the hardest time on what pieces to show.  I love them all!

Lucky for you all, Sandy is giving away a $25 store credit to Toby and Max.  (I'm jealous)

UPDATE: Toby and Max want to offer you all a little discount.  Use the code SASSE20 to get 20% off of your order!

 Ready to enter?
 Good luck!

Sponsor Spotlight: Bagatelle Designs

Come meet one of my awesome sponsors, Bagatelle Designs.
Can you tell me a little about yourself?
My name is Sophie.  I was born and raised in Belgium (oui, je parle le fran├žais) and moved to the USA with my husband and our three daughters in 2000.
We decided to plant our tent in Colorado because we love the mountains so much.
I love the outdoors and to ride my bike in the beautiful Colorado countryside.
When did you start Bagatelle Designs?
I have always been attracted by colors even before starting making jewelry. I would always find a room to paint in our house or a piece of furniture to decorate in vivid colors.  What started as a relaxing hobby at the beginning developed into a full-blown passion for beads and jewelry. I particularly love Swarovski crystals because of their inner beauty and sparkle. Swarovski crystals have a magical and sparkly quality to them that reflects the beauty of the natural world surrounding us. They can be found in many of my designs. I have now been making jewelry for many years.  I started selling my creations through house parties and local craft fairs.  I recently moved my business online on etsy.

What is one of your favorite pieces from your shop?
My favorites must be the large hoop earrings made of pink tourmaline, ametrine, and swarovski crystal beads.
I used unique natural gemstones for these big hoops earrings: transluscent soft yellow and soft lilac ametrine faceted teardrops with genuine swarovski crystal beads and delicious cherry pink tourmaline rondelles.
The combination of colors is magnificent!
Pictured below.

What/who inspires you?
I am mostly inspired by colors in nature and feelings.  My jewelry is fun to wear and joyful : the abundance of colors is meant to reflect and bring out all the good feelings in your heart.
The combinations are endless and my style is definitely modern.
What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
My favorite ice cream flavor would be raspberry!

How beautiful is her jewelry.  Go stop by her Etsy shop to see all of her designs.  You won't regret it, your wallet might though.

Entertainment Center Makeover

A long, long time ago, my husband and I purchased this entertainment center from Ikea.

(sorry for the picture quality.  I had the hardest time finding a picture of it when it was used..well.. as an entertainment center)
Then as the little one grew, we started noticing little sticky finger prints on the TV.  We have moved since that picture and now our TV is above our fireplace.  Far away from sticky little fingers.
So the entertainment center got promoted (or demoted if you want to look at it that way) to Cooper's storage for toys.  An unorganized disaster.

It was time for a makeover.

After a little sanding, priming, painting & sealing. All thanks to my wonderful husband!
After passing Cooper's inspection, I was able to move onto the next step.

Then I added the cushion using foam, fabric and my handy dandy staple gun.

Then another inspection to test out the cushion and the chalkboard paint.  Luckily, we passed with flying colors.
We still had one more inspection.  The magnetic board.

I think our client was pretty happy with his new corner.

Featured Blog:
Hi! I'm Mar, I used to be a veterinary technician, but now I'm a
full time stay at home mommy. My blog is all about my life, and raising
my daughter. Full of stories, concerns, and adorable photos of my little
bean, readers can go through my thoughts and step into our life as
attached parents. I refer to myself as crunchy, but not full granola,
and my baby girl is a huge adventurer who's always laughing, and making
me laugh right along with her. The recent TIME Magazine article created
huge debates between moms about attachment parenting, or not, my blog
will help you see what a life as an attached family is really like. It's
normal, I swear! So head over and take a look, if nothing else you can
just stare at the cute pictures of my adorable bean!

1. I write left handed, but do everything else right handed
2. The bed has to be made before I can get into it. But I'm too lazy to make it every morning so I usually make it right before I go to sleep.
3. I desperately want to own a dairy cow.
4. Putting on my mascara with my mouth closed is impossible.
5. I rewrote the chorus to Lady Gaga's "Edge Of Glory" to "the poops on the edge of the diaper.." and I sing it to my little bean every time I clean up a #2.

Featured Blog:
The Sprouted Root
Hi guys! I'm Mindi, and I blog over at The Sprouted Root! I spend my days immersed in the raw, uninhibited nature of 3 boys (all under age 3 1/2), so blogging is my little outlet. It provides me with the ability to capture and record all the wild happenings around here, and make light of the situations that would drive any young mom to the brink of insanity. Come visit me over at The Sprouted Root and say hi! I write about anything that piques my fancy: kids, home decorating/renovating, recipes, parenting, my Health Series, and my witty ramblings on May or May-Not Mondays.

Five Random Facts:
1. I am one of three girls, yet somehow I ended up having 3 boys- I don't have a clue what I'm doing over here!
2. I eat most everything with a fork (besides cereal and ice-cream)
3. I never knew that renovating a foreclosure one project at a time could be so frustrating and so rewarding at the same time
4. I have been known to eat my boys' gummy bear vitamins when I have a candy craving
5. I let the clothes sour in the washing machine too far often... I need a better system... please come over and give me your tips!
