I'm Cassie, and I blog over at Two In Diapers! I am a SAHM mom of three precious littles, ages four and younger! They definitely keep me on my toes, and I wouldn't change a thing! At Two In Diapers, I love to share the everyday and many-times hilarious happenings around our home, as well as lessons I'm learning on my journey as a stay-at-home mom, things I love, and projects I sneak in along the way! If you come visit me, I'm sure you'll be very entertained... although I can't promise that you won't leave with "If You're Happy and You Know it" stuck in your head or goldfish crackers in your pockets!

5 Facts:

1. I'm a total daredevil! My hubby has bought me zipline adventures and hang-gliding trips as Valentine's gifts!

2. The first time I ever met my (now) hubby, I commented to a friend that he had the weirdest last name I'd ever heard of... and now it's mine!

3. I have the thickest, curliest hair EVER, and it takes me 1 1/2 hours to blow dry and straighten it. At a salon, it usually takes them 3. No joke!

4. When I was in 9th grade, I spontaneously entered an essay contest 4 hours before the deadline, wrote it in the cafeteria during lunch... and won 5th place in the state of Texas. 

5. I'm horribly competitive at card games, especially speed ones. My family jokes that they lose skin on their knuckles during our Nertz tournaments.

Super Cooper Birthday Party & Signazon Review

So my son's birthday was this past weekend.  He turned two. *tear*  Can't believe he is already two.

Here are some pictures from his Super Hero birthday party.

Absolutely adore this 2' x 4' feet custom vinyl banner from Signazon.

Amazing quality for a great price.

The greatest thing about it?

It's made out of vinyl so we can use it year after year.  Amazing, right?

Signazon made it super easy to make too.

You can choose from their hundreds of templates or make your own design.

I would definitely recommend this banner.

Huckleberry Apple Tart

We recently moved to Spokane, Washington.  What is more perfect about the Pacific Northwest than huckleberries & apples?

1 Lg. package sugar cookie dough

1 cup sugar

1 Lg. can sliced pineapple (drain & use juice to glaze)

1 T. lemon juice

2 T. cornstarch

1 - 8 oz. cream cheese (softened)

1 tsp. vanilla

Your choice of fruit (I choose huckleberries, apples & strawberries)

Preheat oven to 300 degrees.

Soften cookie dough to room temperature.

Spread and pat to cover pizza pan.

Bake until dough just begins to brown (about 15 minutes).

Cool on wire rack.

Thicken pineapple juice (with enough water to make on cup), lemon juice & 1/2 cup of sugar over moderate heat, stirring constantly for about 3 minutes.

Cool. 

Beat cream cheese, vanilla & 1/2 cup of sugar, spread on cooled crust.

Arrange your fruit on top and brush pineapple glaze mixture coating the fruit.

Chill and enjoy!

National Suicide Prevention Day

Today is National Suicide Prevention Day!

If you have been following me for awhile, you might know how suicide has affected my family and life.  If you haven't, you can read the story here.

We need to remind each other that there is always hope. 

Never give up!
