The featured blog this week is Better Than I Deserve.

Hi my name is Julie and I blog over at http://jmf-betterthanideserve.blogspot.com.  But 1st of all I am a wife, mother, grandma, quilter, reader, and many more but won't bore you. We live in eastern  SD on a cow/calf ranch. With the help of our son, his wife, and their boys we keep things on track. The guys are busy all day everyday, my job is cook, fetch and run, babysit, and some chores. I wouldn't have it any other way I love our life, hence the name of my blog Better than I Deserve:)

Now for the silly facts about me.1.This is bad I can't think of any??? I love joking with the grandkids, and trying to pull one over on them.
2. I don't like to miss the Young and the Restless that's silly since I have a DVR!
3. I'd rather give than receive I love it when I make my family happy. The grandkids are still young  enough that small things still seem big to them.
4.I always like to try new food and new restaurants even if my friends tease me when it's to expensive. I don't get to pick the restaurant anymore!!
5. I love to sing off key (the only way I sing) with my grandkids, and hear STOP Grandma!!!!!

Make sure to stop by Julie's blog and say hi!

Sons of Anarchy Baby Jax

If you have been following me for a while then you know that my son was the Hulk last year for Halloween.  He even teamed up to join the Baby Avengers.

This year I had no idea what our son should be.

My husband and I kept joking about how long his hair was and that he looks like Jax Teller from Sons of Anarchy.  (which by the way if you don't watch that show, you need to! LOVE that show!)

Sooooo.. I decided why not make him Jax Teller.  (If you aren't sure who he is, stop by SOA's website and get acquainted)
So I introduce to you Baby Jax of Babies of Anarchy!

Here is a little tutorial on how I made this costume:
First find yourself a little leather jacket.
We found our for about $10 (woot woot)
Get your scissors ready to remove the sleeves.

Easy peasy, right?
I bought some stiffened felt from my favorite place, Hobby Lobby.
I cut the felt to look like the badges from the real Jax Teller.

I wrote on the felt before painting.

Then I used puffy paint on it.
Once it was dried, pulled the sewing machine out.
Then sew your badges on.
Pull out a flannel shirt and some old jeans.
And you got yourself a mini Jax Teller.

Budget Breakdown-
Leather (Ok, ok, so it's not real leather) - $10
Felt - $2
Flannel Shirt - owned
Jeans - owned
Puffy Paint - $2
Sewing Machine - Owned

Total -$14.00

They could be coming to a playground near you..

This week's featured blog is Addicted to Recipes.

Hello everyone! I'm Dawn, and I write the blog "Addicted to Recipes". My blog started as a new year's resolution - to try making one new recipe a week, and then blog about it - that way I was accountable to myself for keeping my resolution. And it worked! Here we are in October and my resolution is going strong....and I am having a BLAST! (if only all of my resolutions were so successful!) I'm now posting at least two new-to-me recipes each week, hosting a weekly recipe link party, and learning Facebook and Twitter! Outside of my blogging life, I am a wife and Mom to two wonderful little boys, ages 5 and 1. I am surrounded by testosterone and sometimes I wonder how that happened! LOL! I also work full-time outside the home, as does my hubby, in addition to owning our own business.  Crazy, I know!

5 Silly Facts About Me :-)
1) I'm not ambidextrous, but I am a righty AND a lefty. I write with my right hand, but I mouse with my left, play ball on my left, play hockey on my left...but I can golf right or left!
 2) I have curly hair and straight hair. Sometimes it is stick straight, sometimes it goes way curly. More of it has gone curlier after pregnancies, but I still have crazy straight parts too.
 3) I have lived in 12 houses in my life, 10 of them in the city that I currently live in. I've owned 4 of them.
 4) I can remember EVERY phone number I've had in my life. Not kidding!
 5) I am still close friends with people I went to preschool with. We met 35 years ago, when we were 3!

Thanks Kim for hosting me this week!

DIY Autumn Decor Balls

I have seen these decor balls popping up at so many stores.  I decided why not make some of those from leaves in my own backyard.

Gathered my supplies.
Budget Breakdown:
Leaves - Free
Styrofoam balls - $2.00
Glue - Owned
Pins - Owned
Feathers - $2.00
Total - $4.00 for 6 Decor Balls
(Not bad since I have seen them selling for about $2-3 a ball)

I would glue the back of the leave and pin it to the styrofoam ball.
Repeat this all over until the ball is covered.
Remove the pins.
Super Easy!
